2. Information we collect
We collect: parent/guardian name and email, student first name, exam date (optional), target school (optional, 11+ only), and payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store card numbers). We also collect usage data, quiz/mock exam scores, device type, and IP address for security.

- Provide and personalise the platform for your child
- Process subscription payments and send receipts
- Send weekly progress reports to the parent email
- Send trial ending reminders and subscription notifications
- Improve our question bank and platform features
- Respond to customer support enquiries
- Comply with our legal obligations
4. Children's privacy
PiEdge Learning is designed for children aged 7–11. We comply with UK GDPR and the Children's Code:
- We collect the parent's/guardian's email — not the child's
- All communications go to the parent or guardian
- We do not show advertising to children
- We do not share children's data with third parties for marketing
- Children's data is used only to personalise their learning
5. Legal basis for processing
Contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligation, and consent (for marketing emails — you can withdraw at any time).
6. Third-party providers
We share data only with: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), SendGrid (email), Render (server hosting), Netlify (website hosting). All are contractually bound to protect your data.
7. Data retention
Active account data is kept while you have an active subscription. After cancellation, data is kept for 12 months. Payment records are kept for 7 years (HMRC requirement). You can request deletion at any time.

We use only essential cookies to operate the platform. No tracking or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
9. Your UK GDPR rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your data. Email support@piedgelearning.co.uk to exercise your rights. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
10. Data security
256-bit SSL/TLS encryption, encrypted database storage, PCI DSS compliant payments via Stripe, and strict access controls.
11. Changes
We will notify you by email at least 14 days before significant changes. Latest version always at piedgelearning.co.uk/privacy.
